Want to know how to add personality to your scrapbook? This is partially done by the pictures, embellishments and scrapbook layouts you use. But to perfect this you need to add scrapbook page titles, words and captions. These allow you to fully convey to your reader what you were thinking and feeling when you made the scrapbook.
My house has been fairly active in development scrapbooks. I have some from the turn of the 19th century. Unfortunately they weren't into adding scrapbook page titles or words to the pages. So for a estimate of the pictures I assuredly don't know who I am finding at. I know they are house but that is about it. I'm sure that my ancestor who made the scrapbook would find this to be disappointing.

Before you start putting pictures onto the pages of your scrapbook take some time and decide which titles you will be using. You can also add in captions, poems and sayings to add even more personality to your scrapbook. The titles and other words you add convey the theme of the scrapbook.
The title can be as easy as a date or word for and event. However you can make these in inviting by also including poems, quotes, sayings and phrases. To get an idea here are some examples:
- Daddy's Baby Boy / Girl
- She will fill our lives with sunshine
- They call me trouble
- Playtime pals
- 29 and holding
- Every page I scrap is a tiny piece of history
- Old scrappers never die, they just punch out!
The scrapbooking page titles don't have to overly impressive. You shouldn't be spending tons of time on them but do spend sufficient time to let your time to come readers know what you were thinking and feeling.
