I love to listen to music when I am working. But seeing the right equilibrium in the middle of listening to the music and concentrating on the job that I am doing can prove difficult at times. I often find that if I am listening to lyrics I concentrate too much on trying to pick out the lyrics which mean that I am not focusing on my job. I also find that classical music can sometimes make me feel tired and again lose concentration.
Here are a few of the bands that I listen to when I am at work that do not let me lose concentration.
Baby Lyrics
Firstly there is "Ratatat" that I listen to. This band can be listened to very of course without losing focus on the job I am doing. This is because most of the tunes seem very similar so they just seem to drift into one someone else like background music.
I particularly like their new album which is like an electronic upbeat type of album. It is called DeadMau5 but of course pronounced Dead mouse.
Lcd soundsystem are a band with very few lyrics so they can also be very good to listen to at work without losing your focus on the job.
Broken social scene is very good to listen to when I am working late or when I get home too. This is because they are an instrumental type of band so you do not have to concentrate on seeing any lyrics in their records.
I have to admit to that I like the new Drake album to listen to at work as it has a very cool laid back advent to it and it makes me able to listen to it and concentrate too while I am working.
If like me you like to listen to more cultural music at work then you should try Welcome to Mali from Amadou and Miriam. This is an perfect album even though you cannot understand the lyrics which are in Swahili. It is just great to listen too though.
